Contemporary rear extension, Cheshire

We have been appointed to extend and remodel this existing fairly typical 1930's semi detached property. The proposals will see a two storey side extension to match the vernicular of the existing property to provide a larger bedroom, office space and bathroom.

To the rear of the property, the existing conservatory will be demolished and the existing extension is remodelled to create a more contemporary addtion which forms an open plan kitchen / dining room space with views out to the large garden at the rear.

A frameless corner window seat provides a space to sit and read whilst still allowing dialogue to occupants using the kitchen. The existing living room is opened up to the dining room space with glazed doors which is flooded in light from the proposed skylights inserted into the existing extension roof. In turn, the dining room opens up directly to a private patio space which is shelted from the weather by the projecting canopy above.

The use of white render, steel,  glass & cedar panels help to create a more modern aesthetic.
