REPLACEMENT DWELLING IN GREENBELT LAND, WRINEHILL, CW3

We have recently been appointed by our client to design a four bedroom replacement dwelling which is situated within the North Staffordshire greenbelt land.

The proposals see the demolition of an existing dwelling currently on the site and replaced with a more contemporary dwelling.

The constraints of the greenbelt planning policy has determined the level of increase to the volume and massing of the new dwelling, allowing only a 50% increase in volume over the original dwelling.

The one and a half storey dwelling respects the ridge heights of the neighbouring context while the expressed dormer to the front helps to take on the appearance of a two storey dwelling.

The recessed balcony helps to keep the design within the voume allowance and helps to provide a larger balcony to the rear which over-looks the cheshire countryside.
